The popular lava lamp is a fairly simple design that you can do with your own hands. To do this you will need a minimum set of tools and knowledge of the principles of physics. Super House will tell you how to make a lava lamp with your own hands.
At the top of the lamp, the oil is colder than at the bottom, so the paraffin cools and falls down. This cycle will be repeated until you turn off the heating element.
Interestingly, until the 1970s, toxic liquid carbon tetrachloride was included in the fluid inside the lamp, which was then banned.
If you do not have a glass bulb and a heating element – it does not matter. Lava-lamp at home can be done without them.
To do this you will need:
Take the usual plastic bottle, pour into it two thirds of the volume of water. The bottle can be of any shape and volume. Also for the manufacture of lava lamps suitable and glass jar.
Add vegetable oil to water. To make it not mixed with water, you need to pour on the wall, it is desirable to use for this funnel.
If liquid dye is used, it should be pre-diluted in water.
If the dye is dry, then it is simply poured into the container.
Throw a couple of effervescent vitamin C or aspirin tablets into the water.
When interacting with water, it will begin to emit carbon dioxide, the bubbles of which will rise through the oil, taking with it tinted water.
Place any flashlight or light source under the bottle or behind it.
